This one was ...Thanks for your very nice comments. This one was a bit off topic as I was in UK but I'm glad if it was readable, Mick.

And Lloyd, fancy stumbling upon someone who passes through Petersfield every day. It is a delightful place but it is the pace of life that is so different. My Thai neighbours are dirt poor in comparison to the Hampshire lot but in many ways they have a better quality of life.

That's what I find so fascinating about being here.

See you perhaps next time we're there?

AndrewA True Friend to Chinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10953073219104650895noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5435902129678181031.post-49914611509603150412008-07-16T00:17:00.000+07:002008-07-16T00:17:00.000+07:00Hmm!Maybe one reason you can write books and I can...Hmm!
Maybe one reason you can write books and I can't is because you remember things from Eng.Grammar like "definate article."
First blog I think I have read to the end that wasn't about Thailand.
MickMick1306https://www.blogger.com/profile/01725863264267720361noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5435902129678181031.post-55537826087085529492008-07-13T16:27:00.000+07:002008-07-13T16:27:00.000+07:00It takes an extremely open mind and a lot of self ...It takes an extremely open mind and a lot of self control not to laugh at some of what is now called modern art. I recently did a very similar tour with my trusty Blackberry to send pictures back to my wife who is finishing our home in Nong Khai and will be here in a few months. She still does not believe me some of what is on display is real, to her art is as you say either a sculpture, painting or picture.

Petersfield and Hampshire county, is a lovely region but the people seem to be on the express way to "wealth", or so they believe. I travel by train daily from Portsmouth stopping at Petersfield where always a surge of grey suites shuffles on, sits down and promptly ignores the world around them whilst they read the daily paper speeding through the countryside to Waterloo.

The credit cruch is a good term for "bringing back the reality", maybe now there will be more real estate agents who dont seem to believe every propery must be worth more every day!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
